TICK TACK is excited to announce SYNTHETIC PROGRAM, a screening in collaboration with Fakewhale, featuring, a curated selection of works by pioneering video artists Kevin Abosch, Olga Fedorova, Scerbo, and Fakewhale Studio.
The screening, starting Tuesday, 21st January, invites audiences to engage with the future of creativity and AI-generated art. Launched by FakeWhale in November 2024, SYNTHETIC PROGRAM, is all about reconsidering the nature of artistic collaboration: rather than diminishing human agency, AI amplifies it, allowing artists to navigate realms previously inaccessible.
SYNTHETIC PROGRAM, with its exploration of AI as a transformative creative medium, finds a natural home on CINEMA TICK TACK's six-meter-high window facade. This transparent interface bridges public and private spaces, offering a seamless connection between artists and audiences. The duality of CINEMA TICK TACK—a screen visible both inside and out—parallels the themes of the program, highlighting the intersection of digital and physical realities. By leveraging the shifting interplay of light and dark, the space amplifies the synthetic creativity at the heart of the program, offering viewers a transformative experience that evolves with time and perspective. This collaboration redefines the role of art in public spaces, positioning AI-generated video works as a medium for dialogue, discovery, and engagement across boundaries.
SYNTHETIC PROGRAM will be screened daily from Sunset to Sunrise (CET), live outside TICK TACK’s exhibition space (Mechelsesteenweg 247, 2018 Antwerp) or digitally through the livestream on TICK TACK’s website.
