An infrared video featuring Stefanski sleeping was filmed as a one, unedited seven and a half hours long take. The film is the first in a series of infrared video portraits of men sleeping that Stefanski is currently working on. The work forms part of an ongoing piece of research on theme of masculinities as an attempt to re-imagine what it means - or can mean - to identify as a masculine subject today. It focuses on vulnerability as a transgressive power that is an alternative to a neo- traditionalist model of a “strong man”.
